Challenging corruption in legal systems: A workshop to train trainers
Duration: 1 week
Dates: 19 – 23 October 2015
Tuition fees: £1,975 (exc. VAT)
About the workshop
Corruption has been described as the most unjust, cruel and burdensome of taxes. Within legal systems it negates judicial independence and destroys faith in the institutions of government. It is especially hard to challenge as, when corruption is widespread, the innocent can often be faced with false allegations.
The need for training in addressing issues of ethics and corruption has been frequently identified as a core requirement of good governance. This workshop is designed to address the specific training needs within judicial systems for judges, magistrates and court administrators.
